Transparency Report
A running tally of moderation decisions, response activity, and legal actions on the PuppyReports service.
We publish moderation activity because openness is core to how PuppyReports™ works — you should be able to see what we act on, and why. These numbers are updated from live data every hour. Historical counts are never revised retroactively. If we change a methodology, we note the change below.
Pattern indicators on profiles follow fixed, predefined criteria set out in our internal moderation policy — the same thresholds apply to every entity.
Methodology. "Flags filed" counts every community submission that passed our submission guards (non-anonymous, minimum submitted materials, spam filter). "Disputed" counts flags where the named entity submitted a response. "Removed" counts flags where the public-facing indicator was taken down after moderator review or legal resolution. "Records from publicly available sources" are third-party documents (USDA inspections, court filings, state enforcement actions) that PuppyReports associated with the correct entity. "Disputes filed" counts entity-initiated challenges to a record from a publicly available source. "Cease & desist received" counts legal letters demanding content removal. These never automatically cause removal; they trigger a legal hold per our internal moderation policy.
Counts reflect rows in our moderation database. For any discrepancy, email [email protected].
