Honest. Relevant. Built for the dogs.
PuppyReports™ exists to help families review dog-related information in one place before making decisions about breeders, rescues, shelters, sellers, rehomers, listings, programs, or dogs.
PuppyReports™ may include user opinions, user experiences, community submissions, submitted materials, Family Experience Reviews, Public Information sources, member-submitted information, entity responses, profile materials, and third-party source-linked information.
These Community Standards apply to users, Canine Ethics Guides, members, breeders, rescues, shelters, sellers, rehomers, partners, advertisers, profile claimants, entities, and anyone who submits, uploads, responds, lists, advertises, or participates on PuppyReports™.
The short version
Be honest. Stay relevant. Respect privacy. Do not manipulate the platform. Do not submit fabricated, impersonated, retaliatory, competitor-motivated, abusive, private, unlawful, or misleading content.
PuppyReports™ reviews submissions under platform policy before public display. We may decline, restrict, relabel, archive, remove, or limit content that violates these Standards, PuppyReports™ policy, or legal requirements.
What we expect from everyone
1Honest participation
Submissions must be made in good faith and must not be fabricated, impersonated, misleading, retaliatory, competitor-motivated, abusive, coordinated, or submitted for an improper purpose.
Family Experience Reviews should reflect the submitter’s own user experience.
Concern Flags should be based on direct experience, direct knowledge, submitted materials, Family Experience Reviews, or Public Information sources.
Public Information Source submissions should link to public materials and should not misrepresent the source.
Profile materials, listings, advertisements, breed claims, health-testing statements, lineage information, ownership information, photographs, documents, and response materials must not be misleading.
Program identity. Your program name must be your real kennel, rescue, or shelter name and nothing else — no slogans, taglines, or claims added to it (those belong in the About and program sections of your PuppyReports™ Card). Your profile image must be your logo or a photograph of your real dogs — never an advertisement, a website-address card, or a text-only image. A profile that does not meet this standard stays claimed and listed; its image is shown as the default initial and the member is asked to correct it.
PuppyReports™ does not decide whether every user opinion, user experience, submitted material, Public Information source, or statement is true or false. PuppyReports™ reviews submissions under platform policy for completeness, relevance, source class, entity association, privacy issues, legal-status issues, abuse signals, duplicate activity, and publication criteria.
2Relevant, dog-focused content
Listings, profiles, reviews, Concern Flags, Public Information Source submissions, partner ads, member materials, and community submissions must relate to dogs, dog care, dog breeding, dog rescue, dog shelters, dog rehoming, dog transport, dog training, dog health, dog identity, dog documentation, dog traceability, dog-related transactions, or dog-related services.
Off-topic promotion, unrelated political content, unrelated goods or services, spam, unrelated commercial activity, or content that does not help users evaluate dog-related information may be declined, restricted, archived, or removed.
3Respect for dogs, families, entities, and the community
Do not submit abusive, threatening, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, exploitative, or demeaning content.
Do not use PuppyReports™ to threaten, shame, harass, intimidate, stalk, doxx, retaliate against, or pressure a user, family, reporter, breeder, rescue, shelter, seller, rehomer, partner, advertiser, staff member, or third party.
Disagreement is allowed. Harassment is not.
4Animal welfare and safety
PuppyReports™ does not allow content that depicts, glorifies, promotes, invites, or facilitates animal cruelty, animal fighting, illegal animal activity, or practices that knowingly endanger dogs.
Photos, videos, listings, profile materials, or advertisements must not present animals in distress, injury, dangerous conditions, or unsafe conditions as normal or acceptable.
Health, veterinary, genetic, lineage, registration, title, certification, microchip, or testing statements must not be misleading and may require submitted materials where PuppyReports™ policy requires them.
If you witness active abuse, cruelty, neglect, immediate danger, illegal activity, or an emergency, contact the appropriate authorities first. PuppyReports™ is an informational transparency platform, not an enforcement agency.
5Privacy, identity, and consent
Do not post or submit another person’s private contact information, home address, private phone number, private email address, financial information, medical information, minor’s information, private family details, or other private information unless PuppyReports™ policy specifically allows it and you have the required rights or consent.
Do not post photos or videos of identifiable people, families, children, customers, employees, volunteers, contractors, or private individuals without appropriate permission.
Do not use another person’s name, kennel name, business name, logo, images, documents, profile, or identity to impersonate them.
Do not submit private screenshots, messages, documents, photos, or records in a way that violates law, privacy rights, court orders, confidentiality duties, or PuppyReports™ policy.
Before submitting Concern Flags, Family Experience Reviews, Public Information Sources, profile materials, response materials, listings, ads, or uploads, PuppyReports™ may require account creation, profile association confirmation, and affirmative clickwrap consent as described in the Terms & Conditions.
6No fraud, manipulation, or fake engagement
Do not manipulate PuppyReports™.
Prohibited conduct includes fake reviews, fabricated submissions, duplicate accounts, referral self-dealing, paid testimonials disguised as organic content, review swaps, coordinated submissions, artificial listing clicks, artificial contact activity, artificial engagement, artificial views, automated abuse, scraping, bot activity, evasion of restrictions, or attempts to manipulate PuppyReports™ Cards, listings, flags, reviews, alerts, search visibility, or platform metrics.
PuppyReports™ may use account information, submission information, technical abuse-prevention signals, rate limits, duplicate detection, pattern review, and other Trust & Safety tools to identify potential misuse.
7Legal compliance
Users, members, partners, advertisers, breeders, rescues, shelters, sellers, rehomers, transporters, trainers, and profile claimants must comply with applicable laws, rules, contracts, platform terms, privacy duties, advertising rules, animal-care laws, transport laws, consumer-protection laws, and dog-related requirements that apply to them.
Where licensing, registration, USDA status, state licensing, municipal licensing, nonprofit status, rescue authorization, shelter authorization, microchip records, health-testing records, or other materials are relevant, PuppyReports™ may request submitted materials or Public Information links.
PuppyReports™ may decline, restrict, relabel, archive, remove, or limit content or accounts that create legal, privacy, safety, sanctions, payment, platform-integrity, or compliance concerns.
8Response, correction, and profile mismatch access
Every entity named in a Family Experience Review, Concern Flag, Public Information Source, profile, listing, or related PuppyReports™ record may have access to a basic response, correction, source-update, profile-mismatch, restriction-review, or legal-status review pathway according to PuppyReports™ policy.
Basic response access is free and does not require paid membership.
PuppyReports™ may require association confirmation before showing eligible details or response options. Association confirmation helps protect profile integrity and may require matching or submitting information such as name, kennel name, business name, program name, email address, phone number, city, state, country, address, website, social profile, license or registration number, or other information reasonably related to the profile.
Paid membership may provide dashboard convenience, document organization, profile-management tools, storage, saved materials, status tracking, account support, member-managed profile context, and other membership features.
Paid membership does not change Concern Flag or Review publication criteria, correction standards, restriction standards, removal standards, source-class labels, response labels, public display decisions, moderation treatment, or outcomes.
PuppyReports™ does not remove, restrict, relabel, or suppress content simply because a named entity disagrees with it.
Public counterattacks, retaliation, doxxing, threats, harassment, or coordinated pressure against reporters, reviewers, submitters, entities, staff, or users may result in content restriction, account action, or other remedies.
9Reporter, submitter, and claimant privacy
Reporter and submitter contact details are not publicly displayed on PuppyReports™ Cards, Concern Flags, Family Experience Reviews, Public Information Source records, or public profiles.
PuppyReports™ does not publicly display reporter or submitter email addresses, telephone numbers, home addresses, IP addresses, device identifiers, or similar private contact details.
PuppyReports™ may privately share reporter name, contact information, relationship category, report, submitted materials, and related submission information with the named entity, authorized representative, legal process recipient, or appropriate party when needed for review, response, safety, legal compliance, dispute handling, abuse prevention, or other purposes described in the Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and submission acknowledgments.
Do not attempt to identify, contact off-platform, retaliate against, pressure, harass, threaten, or expose private information about a reporter, reviewer, submitter, claimant, entity representative, staff member, or third party.
10No coordinated misuse
Coordinated misuse is prohibited.
This includes submitting the same or similar Concern Flag, Family Experience Review, Public Information Source, report, comment, profile material, listing, or complaint across multiple identities; recruiting third parties to file duplicate submissions; using a competitor relationship or personal dispute as cover for a submission; creating fake accounts; staging fake engagement; manipulating search visibility; fabricating submitted materials; impersonating someone else; or attempting to evade account restrictions.
PuppyReports™ may decline, restrict, archive, remove, relabel, block, rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts, submissions, or access where coordinated misuse, platform abuse, or suspicious activity is detected.
