About Whoodle Puppies, Breeders & DogFacts

The Whoodle, a cross between the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and the Poodle, is a medium sized hybrid recognized by designer registries such as the ACHC and IDCR but not by the AKC. Adults typically stand 14-20 inches and weigh 20-45 pounds, with coat texture ranging from the Wheaten's silky wave in F1 litters to the tighter, lower shedding Poodle curl in F1B and multigen pups; all require frequent brushing and regular trims. Expect a lively, people focused dog that blends Wheaten exuberance and terrier tenacity with Poodle cleverness and biddability. Health concerns are inherited from both parents (see health panel). Best suited to active households that can commit to daily exercise, early training, and ongoing grooming.

Parent Breeds

This is a designer cross combining: Wheaten Terrier + Poodle. As a mixed breed cross, individual puppies may inherit traits from either parent breed in varying degrees. Health testing requirements and temperament expectations should be evaluated for both parent breeds.
