About Sheepadoodle Puppies, Breeders & DogFacts

The Sheepadoodle, a cross between the Old English Sheepdog and the Standard Poodle, is a large designer companion not recognized by AKC but registered with the ACHC and IDCR. Adults stand 16-24 inches and weigh 45-80 pounds, with F1 coats tending wavy and shaggy while F1B and multigen dogs lean curlier and lower shedding. Expect the Poodle's sharp trainability and problem solving paired with the Sheepdog's easygoing, patient, clownish affection toward children. Brushing three to four times weekly plus professional grooming every 6-8 weeks is essential. Best suited to active families with space, time for daily exercise, and a committed grooming budget.

Parent Breeds

This is a designer cross combining: Old English Sheepdog + Poodle. As a mixed breed cross, individual puppies may inherit traits from either parent breed in varying degrees. Health testing requirements and temperament expectations should be evaluated for both parent breeds.

About these recommendations. PuppyReports surfaces the basic health screening recommendations for each breed in accordance with the principles established by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) program. The OFA, working with each breed’s primary US parent club, sets the recommended testing list per breed. Recommendations may vary by country and region (US OFA CHIC, European FCI, UK Kennel Club, Australian National Kennel Council, etc.).
