About Pitsky Puppies, Breeders & DogFacts

The Pitsky, a cross between the American Pit Bull Terrier and the Siberian Husky, is a medium to large hybrid recognized by the ACHC and IDCR but not by AKC. Adults stand 19-24 inches and weigh 35-70 pounds, with coat type varying by generation: F1 pups often show a short, dense Pit like coat, while F1B and multigen dogs may inherit the Husky's thicker double coat and heavier seasonal shedding. Expect a confident, high energy dog that pairs Pit Bull tenacity and people focused affection with Husky independence, vocal nature, and strong prey drive. Health concerns are inherited from both parents, see health panel. Best suited to experienced, active owners with a securely fenced yard, daily vigorous exercise, and time for consistent training.

Parent Breeds

This is a designer cross combining: American Pit Bull Terrier + Siberian Husky. As a mixed breed cross, individual puppies may inherit traits from either parent breed in varying degrees. Health testing requirements and temperament expectations should be evaluated for both parent breeds.

  3. What is your return policy if the dog cannot remain in my home?
  4. Can I visit, meet the parents, and see where the puppies are raised?
  5. Do you provide a written health guarantee and vaccination records?

About these recommendations. PuppyReports surfaces the basic health screening recommendations for each breed in accordance with the principles established by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) program. The OFA, working with each breed’s primary US parent club, sets the recommended testing list per breed. Recommendations may vary by country and region (US OFA CHIC, European FCI, UK Kennel Club, Australian National Kennel Council, etc.). Always review current requirements with your breed’s parent club for your jurisdiction. Last reviewed: 2026-05-02.
