About Goldendoodle Puppies, Breeders & DogFacts
The Goldendoodle, a cross between the Golden Retriever and the Poodle, is a medium to large companion recognized by designer registries such as ACHC and IDCR but not by AKC. Adults typically stand 20-24 inches and weigh 40-70 pounds, with F1 coats usually wavy and shedding lightly, while F1B and multigen dogs lean curlier and lower shedding. Expect the Golden's sociable, food motivated retrieving drive paired with the Poodle's quick problem solving and sensitivity. Health concerns come from both sides (see health panel). Best suited to active families who can commit to daily exercise, early training, and professional grooming every six to eight weeks.
Parent Breeds
This is a designer cross combining: Golden Retriever + Poodle. As a mixed breed cross, individual puppies may inherit traits from either parent breed in varying degrees. Health testing requirements and temperament expectations should be evaluated for both parent breeds.

About these recommendations. PuppyReports surfaces the basic health screening recommendations for each breed in accordance with the principles established by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) program. The OFA, working with each breed’s primary US parent club, sets the recommended testing list per breed. Recommendations may vary by country and region (US OFA CHIC, European FCI, UK Kennel Club, Australian National Kennel Council, etc.).
