Lean and muscular with a short, dense coat in liver or liver and white ticking, they are affectionate and family‑oriented but need lots of daily exercise and training to channel their strong prey drive; they thrive with active owners. Grooming is simple, weekly brushing, nail trims, and regular ear checks, with light to moderate shedding and minimal drooling; they are not hypoallergenic.
