About Doxiepoo Puppies, Breeders & DogFacts
The Doxiepoo, a cross between the Dachshund and the Poodle, is a small designer hybrid not recognized by the AKC but registered through the ACHC and IDCR. Adults typically stand 8-15 inches and weigh 10-25 pounds depending on whether a toy or miniature Poodle parent is used. Coat varies by generation: F1 dogs may be wavy and lightly shedding, while F1B and multigen pups lean curlier and lower shedding, requiring brushing several times weekly. Expect the Dachshund's bold, stubborn, prey driven streak paired with the Poodle's quick wit and eagerness to train. Best suited to patient owners who enjoy consistent training and can manage a spirited little dog with a big personality.
Parent Breeds
