About Daniff Puppies, Breeders & DogFacts

The Daniff, a cross between the Great Dane and the Mastiff, is a giant companion dog not recognized by the AKC but registered through designer organizations such as the ACHC and IDCR. Adults typically stand 28-33 inches and weigh 115-190 pounds, carrying a short, dense coat that varies slightly across F1, F1B, and multigen litters and sheds moderately year round. Expect the Great Dane's goofy, people oriented affection paired with the Mastiff's calm, watchful steadiness and slow to mature temperament. Daniffs inherit health concerns from both giant parents (see health panel) and suit experienced owners with spacious homes, secure yards, and budgets ready for large breed care.

Parent Breeds

This is a designer cross combining: Great Dane + Mastiff. As a mixed breed cross, individual puppies may inherit traits from either parent breed in varying degrees. Health testing requirements and temperament expectations should be evaluated for both parent breeds.

About these recommendations. PuppyReports surfaces the basic health screening recommendations for each breed in accordance with the principles established by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) program. The OFA, working with each breed’s primary US parent club, sets the recommended testing list per breed. Recommendations may vary by country and region (US OFA CHIC, European FCI, UK Kennel Club, Australian National Kennel Council, etc.).
