About Cavapoo Puppies, Breeders & DogFacts
The Cavapoo, a cross between the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Poodle (typically Toy or Miniature), is a small to medium companion dog not recognized by the AKC but registered with designer registries such as ACHC and IDCR. Adults stand 9-14 inches and weigh 12-25 pounds. Coat varies by generation: F1s are wavy and low shedding, F1Bs curlier and more allergy friendly, multigens more consistent. Expect the Cavalier's gentle, affectionate lap dog nature paired with the Poodle's quick wit and trainability. Health issues from both parents apply (see health panel). Best suited to attentive families or retirees who can provide daily companionship and routine grooming every six to eight weeks.
