About Bull Terrier Puppies, Breeders & DogFacts
The Bull Terrier, developed in 19th century England from crosses of Bulldogs and now extinct white terriers, was originally bred for vermin control and dog sports before evolving into a devoted companion. A member of the AKC Terrier Group, they typically stand 21-22 inches tall and weigh 50-70 pounds, sporting a muscular frame and unmistakable egg shaped head. Their short, flat coat is easy care, needing weekly brushing and occasional baths. Playful, mischievous, and fiercely loyal, Bull Terriers are exuberant clowns who require 60-90 minutes of daily exercise and thrive in active families offering firm, positive training and plenty of companionship.
