About Boxador Puppies, Breeders & DogFacts
The Boxador, a cross between the Boxer and the Labrador Retriever, is a large designer hybrid recognized by the ACHC and IDCR but not the AKC. Adults typically stand 23-25 inches and weigh 50-80 pounds, with a short, dense double coat that sheds moderately year round; F1 pups favor the Lab's smooth coat, while F1B and multigen litters show more variation. Expect the Boxer's playful exuberance and protective streak paired with the Lab's easygoing sociability and food driven trainability. Health concerns from both parents apply, see the health panel. Best suited to active families with a fenced yard, time for daily exercise, and patience for an energetic adolescence.
Parent Breeds
This is a designer cross combining: Boxer + Labrador Retriever. As a mixed breed cross, individual puppies may inherit traits from either parent breed in varying degrees. Health testing requirements and temperament expectations should be evaluated for both parent breeds.
