About Bedlington Terrier Puppies, Breeders & DogFacts
The Bedlington Terrier, originating in the mining region of Northumberland, England, is a medium sized member of the Terrier Group originally bred to hunt vermin, badgers, and hares with remarkable speed and tenacity. Standing 15-17.5 inches tall and weighing 17-23 pounds, the breed is famous for its lamb like silhouette, arched topline, and distinctive tasseled ears. The crisp, curly blue, liver, or sandy coat is non shedding and requires weekly brushing plus professional clipping every six to eight weeks to maintain its sculpted outline. Mild mannered and graceful indoors yet spirited and courageous afield, Bedlingtons need brisk daily walks and play, and make devoted, affectionate companions for active families and other respectful pets.
