About American Staffordshire Terrier Puppies, Breeders & DogFacts
The American Staffordshire Terrier, developed in the United States from English Staffordshire Bull Terrier stock, is a medium sized member of the Terrier Group originally bred for farm work, guarding, and as a tenacious all purpose companion. Standing 17-19 inches tall and weighing 40-70 pounds, the AmStaff is powerfully muscled and athletic with a broad head, pronounced cheek muscles, and a short, glossy coat that comes in many colors. Grooming is easy: weekly brushing, routine nail trims, ear checks, and dental care. Confident, smart, and deeply loyal, they are affectionate family dogs when well socialized and bond closely with children. They need 60-90 minutes of daily exercise and thrive with consistent, positive training and engaged owners.
